This heartwarming video has been making the rounds lately. A man falls in love with his wife all over again after having temporary memory loss.
I imagine this is how men in the 1950s hit on women. Maybe not the coolest dudes, but at least the average 1950s 20-somethings. It’s so brutally charming I’m surprised we didn’t hear a ‘gee willickers’ out of this guy. I personally would have found it much more charming if he started talking about her boobs with the same boyish awe and naiveté, but what can you do?
After exhaustive research (The Youtube About section) I found a picture of the guy and the girl (Jason and Candace). I must say I liked him a lot more in the video. Maybe because of his swollen face and drunken demeanor.
It’s like he’s Philip Seymour Hoffman in Capote with a cracker instead of a cigarette:
My favorite part is when he asks, “Do we call each other ‘baby’?” Out of all the things to ask. I hope that he gets so addicted to the feeling of seeing his wife for the first time that he continues to try and lose his memory. Only one day, he wakes up and isn’t in love with her anymore. That sounds like a movie!
