Improv

If you’re in an improv community it’s kind of like being back in highschool except you can have beer with your teachers, the jocks grew up to be a more chill, and the geeks, now realizing their power, reign supreme.

It’s actually pretty awful and full of insecurity, but there are a ton of free shows around town and no one really says anything if you’re trashed on stage. I get a couple of “please stop drinking during our sets, Joe” and “we think you have a problem,” but nothing really serious. It’s a lot of fun!

Of course, I’m kidding. Improv is great! And here to celebrate improv is Improversations.

Improversations is a new web series from Bill Posley and Matt Liebernman described as:

A new Web Series For Improvisors By Improvisors. This is a scripted show parodying the quirky world of Improv Comedy.

Two episodes in it’s pretty spot on, doing a great job over-dramatizing the stupid minutia of the improv world.
